Poli Genova is a familiar name to Eurovision fans, having graced the contest stage on two occasions for Bulgaria. Her first appearance was in 2011 with the song ‘Na inat’. Five years later, she returned in 2016 with the powerful anthem ‘If Love Was a Crime’, securing Bulgaria’s best result at the time by finishing fourth in the Grand Final. Her charismatic performances and strong vocals have cemented her status as one of Bulgaria’s most beloved Eurovision artists.

‘Spomeni’ – A Summer Hit in the Making

Her latest single, ‘Spomeni’ (Memories), was released on 19th June and is already generating buzz among her fanbase. The song, described as having the joy of life sound like a summer hit, was created during the Sofia Songwriting Camp in 2025. Poli collaborated with a talented team including Denis Popstoev, Krisia Todorova, Preyah, and Alexander Kolev on the track.

The accompanying music video for ‘Spomeni’ takes viewers on a stunning visual journey. It was inspired by an invitation from the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Sofia, leading to filming in some of Southeast Türkiye’s most intriguing locations. Among the picturesque backdrops are Mardin, Midyat, the ancient city of Dara, and the magnificent Mount Nemrut, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
