The excitement for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 is building as the first participating delegations have officially arrived in Vienna. On Friday, artists and their teams touched down at Vienna Airport in Schwechat, ready to begin their journey towards the contest. They are being warmly welcomed and assisted by the dedicated team of Eurovision volunteers.

Delegations Touch Down in Schwechat

As the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 draws nearer, the host city of Vienna is buzzing with activity. The first delegations have made their way to Austria, landing at Vienna Airport in Schwechat (Bruck/Leitha district) on Friday. This marks an exciting phase as the preparations for the highly anticipated event intensify.

Among the first countries to arrive, as indicated by early reports and photographic evidence, were the delegations from Greece, Finland, Portugal and Australia. Their artists and support teams were greeted by a contingent of enthusiastic volunteers, who play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all participants. These volunteers will provide essential assistance and guidance to the delegations throughout their stay in Vienna.
