Good evening Europe and good morning Australia! This is Tel Aviv calling! After another stunning semi-final we know now the final line-up for this Saturday’s grand final. 18 acts competed tonight on stage for 10 golden tickets to the final. How excited are you?!
The night started with the highlights of last Tuesday, when during the first semi-final 10 countries already got the pass to the final.
The show ran smoothly through the 18 acts. Right at the beginning the four hosts confirmed the participation this Saturday of the world-star Madonna. There was even a surprise appearance of Conchita Wurst in the green room. She announced her performance during this Saturday’s final along to other Eurovision stars.
The interval acts was ensured by Israeli group Shalva Band with their song Million dreams and by Israeli mentalist Lior Suchard, who played a little mentalist number with Jurij from Lithuania, Sarah from Ireland, PAENDA from Austria and Sergey from Russia.
And the 10 qualifiers are…
Once the voting was closed, the hosts announced the 10 qualified in random order. They are:
- North Macedonia
- The Netherlands
Hence, 8 countries must say goodbye to their dream, as far as this Eurovision is concerned. They are:
The qualifiers’ press conference
The night is not over. The joint press conference with tonight’s winners is about to take place. During the event, the 10 countries will be drawn to compete either in the first or in the second half of the final.
However, this is not enough. The running order of the Grand Final will be decided by the show’s producers and will be announced within the course of the night.
