One of the best-selling artists in the world is going to arrive on stage of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. As we had already informed you in early April, the international pop icon (and so-called “Queen of Pop”) Madonna was announced by the host broadcaster KAN to be a special guest of this year’s competition. But now it’s time for more details!

Earlier before, the EBU called for the attention of all journalists in the press center of Expo Tel Aviv and went live on Facebook, for a special announcement. This concerned nothing other than the official confirmation of Madonna’s presence in the contest but also the revelation of which of her songs she will perform on stage.

The rumour mill had been in overdrive for long now, with all reports supporting that Madonna is going to sing her smash hit Like a prayer at Eurovision. This was proved to be totally true, as the show’s organizers confirmed tonight that we’re going to enjoy her performing one of her most successful singles on Saturday, this released 30 years ago, as part of her fourth album.

In parallel to her Eurovision appearance, the Queen of Pop is also preparing for the release of her brand new album Madame X, which will be fully released on 14 June. All attendees of the Grand Final will be honoured to listen for the first time to one of this album’s singles, entitled Future. And she won’t be alone, but she’ll be performing her new music featuring the American rapper Quavo!

Here’s the EBU’s exciting announcement on YouTube!
