Austria’s 2014 Eurovision champion, Conchita Wurst, has released a new song entitled Hit me.

Hit me has a modern, pulsing electro feel – which is a stark contrast to the Bond-esque anthem she won the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with.

It is not just the sound, but also the image of the singer which has been rebranded. Conchita Wurst, an alter ego of the Austrian singer Tom Neuwirth, has evolved into WURST for this latest release – a blonde, more masculine character.

Hit me is the second single from the upcoming third album by Tom Neuwirth, to be entitled Truth over magnitude. The album is expected to be released in the coming months.

Conchita Wurst won the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen with the song Rise like a phoenix with 290 points.
