Kalispera, from Athens! Tonight it’s Greece’s turn to unveil their entry for this year’s contest, which will be performed by the singer and songwriter Katerine Duska. As already reported, her song is entitled Better love and we can finally listen to it!

It’s been a while since Katerine Duska reached an agreement with the national broadcaster ERT, in order to fly the Greek flag in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, to be held in Tel Aviv, Israel. The representative’s name was revealed on 14 February, while a couple of days later we found out her song’s title, Better love.

Better love is a intellectual pop mid-tempo sound, with European elements. The track’s lyrics have been written by Katerine Duska herself and David Sneddon. Both of them have also composed its music, joined by the distinguished musician Leon of Athens as well. Following the song’s recording and production in London, the filming for the official video clip of Better love took place last week in Athens, directed by Efi Gousi.

The song was officially presented by ERT at a special event at the Athens Concert Hall, while now it’s time for its YouTube premiere. You may listen to the Greek entry to Eurovision 2019 here:

In her interview, the Greek entrant admitted that prior to the selection of Better love, she had shortlisted two more songs. However, she felt convinced that the chosen one would be the best for this occasion.

Moreover, Katerine hinted some details about her performance in Tel Aviv. As she said, she will not take alone to the stage, while her appearance will be a… feminine affair, as it will not feature any male performer.
