Among the few national finals, Hungary selects its representative in Tel Aviv with the grand final of A Dal 2019. Who will follow the steps of AWS? We are about to find out.
It has been a couple of busy weeks for Hungary. Three heats, two semi final and it’s finally down to this:

- Bogi Nagy – Holnap
- Joci Pápai – Az én apám
- Fatal Error – Kulcs
- Gergő Oláh – Hozzád bújnék
- Acoustic Planet – Nyári zápor
- The Middletonz – Roses
- Vavra Bence – Szótlanság
Eight acts will battle for the victory. The winner of A Dal 2019 will represent Hungary in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv.
Tonight, four songs will advance to the second round of the final thanks to the vote of the four jurors (Féro Nagy, Lilla Vincze, Misi Mező and Miklós Both). The public only will decide the ultimate winner among the four acts during the second round.
Hosts of the night are Freddie (Hungary 2016) and Bogi Dallos.
Last minute drama
Eurovision would not be the same without a good dose of drama. A few days before the grand final broadcaster MTVA announced that one of the qualified acts had been disqualified: Petruska and his entry Help me out of here were found too similar to Vampire Weekend‘s White sky. In the meantime, Petruska was replaced by Gergő Oláh in the final line up.
