Rehearsals are underway in the host city of Lisbon, with artists from across the competing semi-final 1 nations of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest are currently taking to the official stage for the very first time. The final rehearsal of the day comes from Cyprus, bringing the Fuego to the stage!

We’re back at the Altice Arena in Lisbon for the second day of Eurovision rehearsals, where today a total of 9 artists from the first semi-final will be taking to the stage for the first time for their first set of rehearsals onstage.

The final rehearsal of today is from Cyprus and their representative, Eleni Foureira, who will also be closing the first semi-final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest on the 8 May.

Strobes and shadows kick off Eleni Foureira’s performance, with red being a central theme to keep with the Fuego vibes. Eleni is wearing high-heeled boots with a golden outfit to suit.

Eleni is joined by 4 backing dancers onstage, with everyone performing some pretty intense choreography throughout. Everything is tight and slick during the Cypriot performance from start to finish. A great closing show for the first semi-final, that’s for sure!

Considering the tight choreography, Eleni’s vocals are steady throughout the song with the singer sure to make a scene in the arena on the night.

Holographic images also feature onstage during the performance of Cyprus, with flames being a big feature during the song to fit with the title itself.

Eleni receives high applause from the press centre following her first run through, with many comments suggesting that this could include some of the strongest choreography of the first semi-final. It’s looking good for Cyprus at Eurovision 2018!
