Benidorm Fest 2027 sees strong interest
The selection process for Benidorm Fest 2027 has officially moved into its next phase, following the closure of the song submission window last Thursday, July 30th. RTVE has confirmed a fantastic response from artists, receiving close to 900 songs in total. This strong interest highlights the continued popularity and significance of Benidorm Fest.
Of the nearly 900 entries, a significant surge was observed in the final hours, with approximately 350 songs submitted within the last 24-hour period before the deadline. This demonstrates the last-minute rush often seen in such competitions, as artists finalise their submissions.
The 115-day submission period has now concluded, and an internal committee at RTVE will meticulously review all received entries. This committee is tasked with the challenging but exciting responsibility of shortlisting the songs that will compete in Benidorm Fest 2027. RTVE will whittle down the submitted entries to at least 16 entries, if it deems that the quality of submitted songs is high it will select up to a maximum 20 songs.
Fans across Spain and Europe eagerly await further announcements regarding the selected artists and songs, as the road to Benidorm Fest 2027 truly begins.
