Rehearsals have begun in the host city of Lisbon, in which artists from countries across the first semi-final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest are taking to the Eurovision stage for the very first time. Azerbaijan kicks off today’s rehearsals with Aisel.

It’s day one of rehearsals at the Altice Arena in Lisbon, where a total of 10 artists will be taking to the stage today for their first rehearsal on the official Eurovision stage. We now know how the stage looks, now let’s find out how it works!

Aisel from Azerbaijan kicks off today’s set of rehearsals in Lisbon with her entry X my heart.

Aisel, wearing an all-white dress, starts her performance lying on an uneven pyramid-style pillar, which later lights up throughout the performance (all 5 of them!). Purple and white are the main colour-themes of Azerbaijan’s staging, with glitter featuring throughout.
