She’s triple-involved! Following her announcement as the artistic director of the Cypriot and Australian 2018 entrants, Eleni Foureira and Jessica Mauboy respectively, the Bulgarian national broadcaster is pleased to inform us that the highly acclaimed Swedish choreographer Sacha Jean-Baptiste will be responsible for the stage presence of their selected group Equinox.

She loves it… beyond the bones!

The news was confirmed yesterday via the official Twitter account of BNT Eurovision. It seems that after a successful collaboration last year with Sacha and a respectable 2nd placing for Kristian Kostov, Bulgaria has set the bar high for 2018 as well. Thus, the country’s delegation is gearing up to present an ambitious project on the stage in Lisbon, joining forces with one of the most recognized professionals.

Here is the brief announcement of the Bulgarian broadcaster:

We are excited to confirm that Sacha Jean-Baptiste is the stage director behind “Bones” – the Bulgarian entry for Eurovision. Together we hope to deliver a modern, stylish and visually appealing staging.

The Swedish artist has been involved in Eurovision many times over the last few years and has connected her name with some of the most successful performances of the recent Eurovision editions, such as Loreen’s 2012 victorious entry Euphoria.

The 5-member group Equinox was the last act to be officially announced as Bulgaria’s hopefuls for 2018, with the track Bones, penned by Borislav Milanov, Trey Campbell, Joacim Persson and Dag Lundberg.

Bulgaria will be competing in the 1st half of the first semi-final evening on 8 May. The 63rd Eurovision Song Contest will be taking place on 8, 10 and 12 May at the Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal.
