The semi-final shows of the Swedish Melodifestivalen 2018 have just thrown their curtains! A few minutes ago, the show held at the Fjällräven Center in the city of Örnsköldsvik concluded.
Following this semi-final, we now know all 8 acts that have automatically qualified to the national selection’s Grand Final on 10 March, as well as all the second chance hopefuls, who will compete again next week.
It’s Mariette and Rolandz to the final!
Örnsköldsvik and national broadcaster SVT have hosted another impressive semi-final show, presented by David Lindgren and Fredrik Svensson. A further 7 acts fought for the continuation of their journey to Sweden’s biggest music competition.
According to the public’s verdict, progressing directly to Friends Arena on 10 March are:
- Mariette – For You
- Rolandz – Fuldans
Remarkably, singer Rolandz pretended that he passed out after his name’s announcement as a Grand Final qualifier! Getting him on his shoulders, a production man took him to the stage to perform his song!
Whilst completing the second chance round line-up on 3 March are the following:
- Olivia Eliasson – Never Learn
- Felix Sandman – Every Single Day
Hence, the rest 3 acts are bidding farewell to Melodifestivalen 2018:
- Elias Abbas – Mitt Paradis (5th place)
- Emmi Christensson – Icarus (6th place)
- Felicia Olsson – Break That Chain (7th place)
