Tonight, Hungary will select its Eurovision 2018 representative as the A Dal 2018 Grand Final is about to take off.
A Dal (The Song) has proven to be a strong national selection for Hungary, establishing itself among Europe’s favourite selections for Eurovision, and securing the country several top-positions in the contest. A Dal 2018 will reach its culmination tonight as Hungary will choose the successor of the 2017 winner, Joci Pápai.

The show
Broadcaster Duna TV in co-operation with MTVA (The Hungarian Media Services and Support Trust Fund) are sure to create an exciting Grand Final show for the public, delivering entertainment for Hungary and beyond, professionally hosted by Freddie (Gábor Alfréd Fehérvári, Eurovision 2016) and Krisztina Rátonyi.
Tonight, the eight finalists who progressed from the semi-finals will take to the stage, again performing their potential Eurovision 2018 entries and competing for a ticket to Lisbon, Portugal.

The voting procedure
The selection will be divided over two voting rounds. In round one, the professional jury (composer and performer Miklós Both, artist and composer Károly Frenreisz, lead singer and guitarist af group Magna Cum Laude Misi Mező, and actress Judit Schell) will determine the top 4 acts and artists that will proceed to the next round.
In round two, the public televote will choose the 2018 Hungarian Eurovision participant from among the four super-finalists.
Ultimately, we will know who will follow in the footsteps of Joci Pápai, who respectably placed 8th in the Grand Final of Eurovision 2017 with his entry Origo, receiving 200 points.
