DR, the Danish national broadcaster has released the 2018 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix entries as Aalborg gears up for next Saturday’s Danish national final.
DMGP 2018
The 2018 Danish national final is scheduled to be held at the Gigantium in Aalborg on Saturday 10 February. The show will be aired live at 20:00 CET on DR1. DMGP 2018 will be hosted by Annette Heick and Johannes Nymark.
The 2018 Danish Eurovision entry act will be determined via a 50/50 jury-public televoting deliberation. The show will consist of 2 parts: during the first part all 10 acts will peform and the top 3 acts will proceed to the Superfinal. During the second part the top 3 acts will battle for the right to represent Denmark at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon at the Superfinal.
The 2014 Austrian Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst will be gracing the ocassion and will perform during the show.

Denmark in Eurovision
Denmark joined the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 and has won the competition three times: 1963 (Grethe & Jørgen Ingmann), 2000 (Olsen Brothers) and 2013 (Emmelie de Forest)
In 2017, Anja Nissen represented Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv with her entry Where I am.
