The 2017 Bulgarian representative and Eurovision runner-up, Kristian Kostov, has won an EBBA award as Public Choice.
Kristian Kostov, who represented Bulgaria at the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv with the song Beautiful mess, was nominated for an European Border Breakers Award (EBBA), winning the Public Choice Award.

Kostov had already been announced as an EBBA winner last year as an emerging artist, following his Eurovision participation in May 2017.
This reward adds up to Kostov’s already successful young career; he performed at the MAD VMA‘s in Greece back in June 2017, won his first Russian award back in September 2017, graced the Eurovision stage and ended 2nd, and came second in The Voice Kids in Russia and in X-Factor Bulgaria.

What’s next for Kristian?
Earlier this month, it was reported by Bulgarian media that Kostov had submit a project for Eurovision 2018; maybe the Eurovision community will see him soon once again on the Eurovision stage in Lisbon?
Kostov also spoke about eventually preparing a Russian album, with more details expected to be unveiled over the coming months.
