The 2017 Eurovision runner-up has received yet another award following his competition experience in Kyiv back in May.

Today, it was announced that Kristian Kostov has won an EBBA award (European Border Breakers Awards) for emerging artist. This follows his participation at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year, where he represented his country of Bulgaria.

This follows 5 days after the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 winner himself, Salvador Sobral, won an EBBA for his musical success too. The top 2 of this year’s Eurovision has reached a lot of people around the continent!

This now means a total of 3 Eurovision 2017 artists have won an award at the EBBA 2018 event, with the top 2 of this year’s competition being revealed following Blanche from Belgium’s victory earlier this month.

Following his Eurovision success, the 17-year-old won his very first Russian award, released his first single in Russian earlier this year and has also recently performed at Miss World in China: Kristian is all over the place!

Kostov was one of the fan favourites in this year’s Eurovision in Kyiv: he came 2nd overall behind Salvador Sobral, bringing his country another Top 5 finish following Poli Genova’s 4th place in Stockholm in 2016.
