Today sees a very pleasant event in the Georgian capital! One of the three hosts of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, the comedian and TV presenter Aleksandr Skichko got married to his beloved partner Elizaveta Yurusheva. The couple decided to unite their lives in January, after they having dated for several years.

Two people are being united

Elizaveta (Lisa) Yurusheva is the younger daughter of the Donetsk-based billionaire Leonid Yurushev, one of Ukraine’s richest people. She is a businesswoman, currently running the 5-star Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv.

The wedding took place in Tbilisi, Georgia in a closed and friendly circle, as they both wished.

The whole summer saw the Ukrainian comedian travel around Europe with the woman of his life. Aleksandr, while travelling with his spouse and her daughter from her first marriage, posted some of their pictures on social media:

Ιn an interview, Aleksandr narrated how he made the marriage proposal to Lisa, during a trip in Dubai, United Arab Emirates:

I asked Lisa, “Do you think if I made you an offer now, would it be romantic?”. She replied: “Yes, of course. Such a fountain, and music plays. While she turned away, I gently put the ring on the table, and when Lisa turned her head, for four or five seconds she did not understand what was happening, to be honest. Just looking at me or at the ring, and in the eye of the question: where did this and whose, someone forgot? And then she has a shock, well, and further.
