Austria at Eurovision 2017
Trent was internally selected to represent his home nation at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest by the Austrian national broadcaster, ORF, back in December 2016.
Over the months to follow, it was confirmed that the singer would represent the nation with his song Running on air, written by the artist himself alongside Bernhard Penzias.
Austria competed in the second semi-final of the competition on the 11 May, qualifying in 7th place to the final of the contest on the 13 May.
The fourth to perform on the night, Trent eventually received a grand total of 93 points in the final of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest and finished in 16th position.
