Nepal has officially selected its representative for the inaugural Eurovision Asia Song Contest 2026! Following a compelling national final, Pratik Himal Rai has been chosen to fly the Nepali flag in Bangkok. He will perform his winning song, ‘Ananta Maya’, on the international stage.

The highly anticipated national selection show, ‘Nepal Decides’, concluded tonight, with Pratik Himal Rai emerging as the triumphant artist. Rai’s powerful rendition of his song, ‘Ananta Maya’, captured the hearts of both the jury and the voting public, securing his spot as Nepal’s first-ever representative at Eurovision Asia.
Eleven talented acts competed in the final of ‘Nepal Decides’, which was broadcast live, showcasing a diverse range of musical styles from across the nation. The selection process combined a 40% jury vote, 40% Nepalese public vote, and 20% international vote, ensuring a comprehensive decision.
Pratik Himal Rai will now prepare to travel to Bangkok, Thailand, where the inaugural Eurovision Asia Song Contest is set to take place on 14 November 2026. This marks a significant moment for Nepal as it makes its debut in the pan-Asian music competition, aiming to unite the region through music.
