The girls of O’G3NE, who will represent the Netherlands at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, have received some exciting news: they won the 100% NL Award for Musical Moment of the Year, and are nominated in two more categories. Moreover, the three sisters have exciting Eurovision news of their own: they have shortlisted three potential Eurovision entries.
Sisters Lisa, Amy and Shelley Vol of O’G3NE are very proud to have won the 100% NL Award in the category Musical Moment of the Year, for their performance of Emeli Sandé‘s song Clown in the popular TV-show De Beste Zangers Van Nederland (The Best Singers Of The Netherlands). Their version of Clown became an instant hit in the Netherlands in 2016.

Furthermore, O’G3NE is nominated in two other categories: Singer of the Year and Album of the Year (for their album We Got This). Other former Dutch Eurovision participants that are nominated in various categories are 3JS, Anouk, Ilse DeLange, The Common Linnets, and 2016 Dutch Eurovision representative Douwe Bob.
The 100% NL Awards are an annual initiative by radio-station 100% NL, to honour and promote Dutch musicians. The public will ultimately choose the winners, and people may vote on their favourites by visiting the awards webpage at 100p.nl.
Gearing up for Eurovision
O’G3NE are also preparing for their 2017 Eurovision participation. In the past weeks, the girls have been judging the various songs that have been written for them, eventually narrowing the list down to 12 songs. Now, O’G3NE has shortlisted three potential Eurovision entries. In the coming weeks, the sisters will evaluate the three remaining songs, and finally choose their 2017 Eurovision entry together with a selection committee of Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS. The song will most likely be presented to the public at the end of February or beginning of March 2017.
