DR, the Danish national broadcaster has confirmed that Denmark will participate at the  forthcoming 2017 Eurovision Song Contest next year.

Preparations for the 2017 Danish Eurovision national final have kicked off. Singers and composers wishing to compete in the national final can do so by submitting their entries to DR, by 5 September.

Both local and foreign talent (composers) are invited to partake in the competition. The rules for the 2017 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix have been published on DR’s official website. If you wish to bid to represent Denmark you can register here.

Thus Denmark joins Finland, Norway, Switzerland, France, Germany, Ukraine, The Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and Estonia all whom have confirmed their participation at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine.

In 2016 Lighthouse X represented Denmark with their entry Soldiers of love. Despite an amazing performance, Denmark failed to qualify to the Grand Final.

The preliminary dates for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest have been set on 16, 18 and 20 May.
