Tonight, Iceland will choose its representative for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in the final of the country’s national selection, Söngvakeppnin 2016.
The final
The six entries that qualified from the two semi-finals will take part. In the semi-finals the artists had to sing their entry in Icelandic. Tonight, the final 6 contestants will be performing their songs in the language that they want to perform in at the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm. 5 of the entries will be sung in English, whilst Á ný performed by Elísabet Ormslev will remain in Icelandic.
The voting
In the first round, both televoting and the jury results will be combined to decide the final two qualifiers that will compete in the second round called the Super Final. In this round, the winner will be decided by 100% televoting.

Special Guests
Two Eurovision winners, Loreen and Sandra Kim will perform their winning entries during tonight’s final. Loreen will perform the song Euphoria which won for Sweden in 2012 whilst Sandra Kim will sing J’aime la vie.
