The 2016 Icelandic national selection, Söngvakeppnin continues this evening with semi-final 2 of the competition. Which 3 acts will qualify to next week’s grand final?

As with last week’s semi-final, a further 6 acts will compete in the second semi-final of Söngvakeppnin 2016 where a total of 3 acts will qualify to next weekend’s grand final of the selection. Tonight’s 3 qualifiers will be decided 100% via televote.

According to ESCToday’s Icelandic National Chart, tonight’s top 3 will consist of Elísabet Ormslev, Þórdís Birna Borgarsdóttir & Guðmundur Snorri Sigurðarson and Alda Dís Arnardóttir.

Tonight’s show will feature guests performance by 2 singers; Högni Egilsson and the 2014 Icelandic representatives, Pollapönk.

The non-qualifiers from the 2 semi-finals still have a chance of competing in the grand final of Söngvakeppnin 2016 as the expert jury will be able to select a wildcard act, bringing the finalists count up from 6 acts to 7 finalists.
