Destiny Chukunyere from Malta is the winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Her song Not my soul gained 185 points, just 9 points ahead of the runner-up, Armenia.

This makes it the second victory of Malta after winning the contest back in 2013. Malta joins the leaderboard of JESC winnings, along with Belarus (2005, 2007) and Georgia (2008, 2011).

  1. Malta 185
  2. Armenia 176
  3. Slovenia 112
  4. Belarus 105
  5. Albania 93
  6. Russia 80
  7. Serbia 79
  8. Australia 64
  9. Bulgaria 62
  10. Georgia 51
  11. Ukraine 38
  12. Ireland 36
  13. Montenegro 36
  14. San Marino 36
  15. The Netherlands 35
  16. Italy 34
  17. F.Y.R. Macedonia 26

Unlike in the Eurovision Song Contest, the winner of JESC does not automatically get the rights of hosting the next year’s contest. However, after Italy denied hosting this year’s JESC, Malta and Bulgaria have offered to host it, with the latter getting the rights. We can expect then to come back to the Maltese islands for the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
