Every year since 2009, the jury members are invited to watch the second dress rehearsal of each show the night before the live event takes place. The jury members are asked to rank each entry based on a number of factors, some of which include the live performance and the song’s hit potential, before submitting their votes to the EBU and the PwC who then go on to evaluate each vote.
Once the jury ranking has been added, they will then be added to the public televote results on the night of the live show, which then becomes the country’s official votes. Both the jury and public have a 50% say in the final results.
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be held on the 19, 21 and 23 May at the host venue, the Wiener Stadthalle.
