The Lithuanian entry has now an official video-clip. So far we could only see the clip of Monika Linkytė and Vaidas Baumila performing live at their country’s national selection. The new video was announced and released by the Lithuanian broadcaster LRT and is now also available on YouTube.

The official video for the Lithuanian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 was released this week on the national broadcaster’s LRT website. The whole Lithuanian Eurovision team was invited to share their thoughts for the video, which was directed by Algina Navickaitė, who describes it as cozy and lovely, a little unusual for the Eurovision Song Contest, as it’s very simple. No poshness or glitter. Besides, it’s a bit of a social experiment.

Indeed, the video is experimental. Of course the Lithuanian representatives Monika Linkytė and Vaidas Baumila feature in it. And they are seen performing together with a group of musicians before an audience of men and women who had not heard the Lithuanian entry This time yet. The experiment unfold in the video is the recording of the reactions of the novice audience to the entry.

Besides, a sort of video audition was carried out among the Lithuanian people, and which consisted of an invitation to any couple send their kisses on video. The couples who passed the casting can be seen featuring in the video. And kissing sweetly, of course…! Actually, Algina Navickaitė laughs with the memory of couples having to be requested to stop kissing during the video shooting. Yes, there was so much love in the air…!

Couples of different ages and of all genders were invited, with one gay couple stepping out and showing their love to Lithuania and Europe.

See the video and enjoy the cheer of love…

Despite the initial plans to send a solo singer, the chemistry displayed by Monika Linkytė and Vaidas Baumila in the Lithuanian national selection made them winners and the chosen entrants for Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song This time.
