OSRAM has been announced as the Official Lighting Partner of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.

Founded in Munich, Germany, in 1919, OSRAM is a world-leading lighting manufacturer with operations in over 120 countries.

As Official Lighting Partner of the Vienna-hosted Contest, which this year celebrates its 60th anniversary, OSRAM has been granted extensive global association, event, media and new media rights for the Austria extravaganza, and OSRAM will also be significantly contributing the majority of the entertainment lighting.

This includes impressive stage lighting from the company’s subsidiary Clay Paky , and Lightify, a smartphone app controlled LED lighting system. Fans visiting the Eurovision Village at Rathausplatz  will be able to use Lightify to control their votes, with the square enveloped in a red light to indicate maximum visitor support, and a blue light indicating one point of support.

We transform the largest entertainment spectacle in the world into the largest lighting technology event with our light systems (and) we want to turn the show into a really unforgettable event for the audience.
