Lithuania: Show 4 results of Eurovizija 2016

The fourth show of Eurovizija 2016 has concluded this evening and a further 2 acts have been eliminated from this selection.

The Lithuanian national selection, Eurovizija 2016, took place this evening with Show 4. Ten acts competed in tonight’s show, but only 8 qualified to the next part of the show with two eliminated from tonight’s show.

Tonight’s qualifiers were decided via a combined jury vote and televote featured the artists who already had a song when they applied for the selection. The ten acts that qualified from the first and second shows competed tonight. The members of the Lithuanian jury were made up of Darius Užkuraitis (LRT Opus director), Nomeda Kazlaus (opera singer), Ramūnas Zilnys (music reviewer) and Kazimieras Šiaulys (music critic and journalist). The International jury members consisted of Peter Freudenthaler (lead singer of the German group Fools Garden), Syron (British singer) and Karl Frierson (American member of German jazz ensemble De-Phazz).

Following the combination of votes, Behind the Moon and Alice Way were eliminated from the competition with the following 8 acts qualifying to the next stage:

  • Valdas Lacko – Stay tonight
  • Petunija – Tomorrow
  • Donny Montell – I’ve been waiting for this night

  • Ištvan Kvik & Ellada – Please don’t cry

Eurovizija 2016 continues next week with show 5 of the national selection with a further 10 participants. The competing artists will be paired with songs which were submitted to LRT during the submission period and will go on to perform them to the public and jury.
