The excitement is rising as Eurofans from all over Europe set their eyes to Sweden. The Final of Melodifestivalen takes place on Saturday 14 March 2015 and ESCToday is on location. The team managed to interview one of this year’s favourites, Eric Saade.

Taking time out of his busy schedule Eric Saade met up with Robin Scott from the ESCToday.com team. In a relaxed interview, Eric chatted about his early life, when he first started singing, his love of performing and writing and even how using the English language in his songs almost comes more naturally to him than his native Swedish. He also talks about his entry in the National Final, Sting

He is probably best known for the songs Manboy and Popular, the first coming third in Melodifestivalen 2010 the second successfully getting to the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest , that achieved the same placing, third in the Grand Final in Düsseldorf.

Here is the conversation we had with Eric Saade

I attended my first Eurovision Song Contest in 1995, and from 1996 presented daily live reports for radio stations from the event. Since then I have been providing material from everywhere the contest has been held. I also enjoy compiling most of the video materials for three UK ESC events each year. In 2010 I first provided material for esctoday.com.
