One of Carola's projects, an academy for performing artists, could take shape next year. The Swedish representative in three editions of the Eurovision Song Contest has been talking about starting up this school for several years and has revealed the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet that Camp Carola could come true in 2008. Her new Christmas single, I denna natt blir världen ny is also available to purchase online.
Negotiations with possible business partners are already underway, according to Carola's interview in Svenska Dagbladet. If everything comes out as Carola wishes, her school for performing artists, Camp Carola, could come true next year.
The Swedish star has also revealed that "the plans have come pretty far" and she was offered to take her coaching project to TV, making a reality show out of it. "I declined because I want to find the uniqueness in every single student, have them stand on a stage, put them in front of a camera", Carola explained.
The 1991 Eurovision winner shows herself very enthusiastic about her teaching project, judging by her declarations to Svenska Dagbladet: "The most important thing is not just being a good singer, but what you want to do with your talent. Happiness won't come from having a hit or becoming famous. It's about being happy when you're singing at a school gathering or at a family Christmas party. I want to inspire, encourage and share whatever I can."
The school would be located near Stockholm and sould start with weekend courses, aiming to offer whole semesters in the future.
