LTV, the Latvian national broadcaster has unveiled the stage for the upcoming Latvian national selection – Supernova 2015.
The Supernova 2015 stage was designed by a 4-member design team from Kompānijas NA – Janis Sniķers, Normunds Bļasāns, Pāvels Armanis and Raivo Rozenbriks. Other notable members of the team include the Head of the Technical team Alberts Adītājs, spotlight construction by Kristaps Kalvāns and stage installation by Normunds Adītājs.
Talking about the Supernova 2015 stage, leading light director Normunds Bļasāns revealed:
Overall, the show’s visual concept is based on the image of songs – some of the time it will be a subject of video screens, some of the time, the colour and tone. In another song, it will be a dynamic change of light or radiation pattern. Light and video projections are only used as a performance enhancement feature, and we carefully build everything so that the visual material and light score will not dominate the artists and their vocal performance.
This year, LTV has decided to opt for a new national selection process for Latvia in order to decide their representative for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. Supernova 2015 will consist of 4 shows – 2 heats, 1 semi-final and a Grand Final. The full schedule can be found below.
