Cyprus: Six acts through to Eurovision Song Project final

The results of the second and final Eurochallenge show are IN!  Six acts will contest the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Project in Cyprus, to be held on Sunday 1 February.

The winner of the Eurovision Song Project will represent Cyprus at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna on 19, 21 and 23 May.

The six acts who will contest next week’s Grand Final are listed as follows, next to the song they hope will take them to Vienna:

  • Minus OneShine
  • Nearchos Evangelou & Charis SavvaDeila den agapo
  • Hovig – Stone in a river
  • DoodyMagic
  • Panagiotis KoufogiannisWithout your love
  • Giannis KaragiannisOne thing I should have done

The six successful acts were selected following Jury deliberation by Despina Olympiou, Elena Patroklou, Alex Panayi, Tasos Tryfonos and specially invited Eurochallenge Jurors Christer Björkman (Swedish Head of Delegation, Melodifestivalen producer, producer of Eurovision Song Contest 2013) and Dimitris Kontopoulos, (composer/producer of the Eurovision Song Contest entries from Ukraine 2008, Greece 2009, Azerbaijan 2013 and Russia 2014).  Bruno Berberes (the former French Head of Delegation and executive producer of The Voice France) has been invited to join the panel of Jurors for the Grand Final.

A production of CyBC (the national Cypriot Broadcasting Company), Antri Kerantoni hosted the show, which was streamed via the CyBC website.

The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Project will be LIVE on Sunday 1 February 2015.  Starting at 21:05 local time (20:05 CET), the action will be streamed via cybc.com.cy, eurovision.tv and broadcast via RIK 1 and RIK Sat (Hotbird) via satellite.
