The last month of the year begun with a surprise call from the host broadcaster. ORF called for 800 volunteers that would assist the delegations, artists, journalists and fans during the two hot weeks in May.

The so much awaited participating act from The Netherlands, that came 2nd in Copenhagen, was revealed. Trijntje was selected internally to sing a composition by Anouk (the 2013 Dutch participant). The song Walk along was welcomed with excitement from the fans.

In early December, NERIT, the new Greek broadcaster became officially member of the EBU, opening the way to Vienna for the country’s 40th participation.

The ticket sales kicked off and the first batch for the grand final were sold within the first 20 minutes. Few days later, it was announced that the venue that will host all the Eurovision parties is no other than Vienna’s Ottakringer Brewery.

Girl power!

Alice Tumler, Mirjam Weichselbraun and Arabella Kiesbauer and Conchita Wurst will be the 3+1 hosts of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. The EBU also revealed the 39 countries that will participate in the contest. A number which was revealed already by ESCToday, after confirming the participation with each broadcaster individually since May 2014.

Dring the last days of December, two more artists were added to the list of the participants in 2015 Eurovision. Uzari & Maimuna for Belarus and Elhaida Dani for Albania.
