The group Elaiza, who represented Germany at this years’ Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark, will be performing a concert in the German city Würzburg on Wednesday 22 October 2014.

Elaiza is a trio originating from Berlin, formed by singer-songwriter and pianist Elzbieta “Ela” Steinmetz, who is of mixed Ukrainian and Polisch heritage, accordionist Yvonne Grünwald, and string bass-player Natalie Plöger.

Their distinct sound is a mixture of pop, folk and alternative music. Via YouTube the group applied for the wild-card to compete in the German preselection of the Eurovision Song Contets 2014. At the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark, Elaiza earned the 18th place in the grand final.
