Conchita Wurst has performed for the first time in Italy, at Padova Pride.

The singer headlined at the sell-out event last week, bringing a two-month long schedule of Pride events and performances by various artists to a close. As well as singing Rise Like a Phoenix, the song with which she won this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, the star performed That’s What I Am, the song with which she came second at the Austrian pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. She went on to perform The Best by Tina Turner and Unchain My Heart by Ray Charles before finishing her set with a rendition of Everything, Anna Vissi‘s song for Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006.

During the performance, Conchita addressed the audience in English, thanking them for the warmth of the reception they’d given her, and telling them that her first time in Italy was a first time to remember.
