Conchita Wurst, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, has visited Innsbruck, which is one of the three remaining cities competing to host the 2015 edition of the contest in Austria.

The singer, who won the contest this year with her song Rise like a phoenix, was visiting the city to perform a free concert and also whilst there she also received a tour of Innsbruck from the city’s Mayor, Christine Oppitz-Plörer.

Locals flocked to listen to her concert at Innsbruck’s Sparkassenplatz, and also to a local hotel for a ‘night of tolerance’ event.

When asked which city she would like to see host the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, she told the public that she had no preference as to where she’d like the contest to go.

Conchita’s win in Copenhagen last May was Austria’s second ever Eurovision Song Contest victory since they began participating in 1957.

Their only other previous win came in the 1966 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest when Udo Jurgens won with his song Merci, chérie.
