BigPoll 2014: here are the full results

One week after Conchita’s glorious victory in Copenhagen and ESCToday is releasing tonight the complete results of what you have predicted through BigPoll 2014, the respected prediction tool for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Following the tradition of almost a decade, BigPoll is a tool that its’ primary aim is to predict the outcome of the Eurovision Song Contest shows. IN order to keep its accuracy, BigPoll asks the users to predict how their country will vote during Eurovision and not vote according to their preferences. Hence, the tool follows the Eurovision Song Contest voting pattern, where a country cannot vote for itself. In order to get as more accurate votes as possible, BigPoll is retrieving all the necessary information from the user in order to verify his/her origin.

During the voting procedure of BigPoll semi-finals, 4720 unique voters cast their prediction for semi-final 1, while 4587 for the 2nd. For one more year, BigPoll predicted 9/10 and 8/10 finalists coming from the respective semi-finals. The voting ballot for the Grand Final opened few hours after the second semi-final and lasted until 18.00 of Saturday 10 May. 3609 unique voters predicted Conchita as the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, and yet again they were right.

ESCToday will be giving away 2 sets of CDs and promotional material we gathered in Copenhagen, to the 2 voters who predicted correctly the Top10 of the Grand Final. In case there are more than 2 winners, we will have to draw. In the least expected case where nobody has predicted the Top10 correctly, we will draw the prizes among all the participants of BigPoll.
