It is here. It has arrived. The artist that will represent Belgium in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest will be known tonight at the end of the Grand Final of the Belgian national selection Eurosong 2014. The show will be aired live by the broadcaster VRT.

The Show

The Belgian national selection for the 2104 Eurovision Song Contest comes to an end today. Seven weeks after the beginning of Eurosong 2014, the singer that will carry the Belgian flag in Copenhagen will be decided tonight among the six acts that successfully completed their path through the castings, the Callback and the semi-finals.

The winner of tonight’s Final, the one who will get the ticket to Denmark, will be decided with the votes from the audience and those from seven international juries: Azerbaijan, Denmark, Ireland, FYROM, The Netherlands, Spain and Belarus. The experts Piet Goddaer, Jef Martens, Bart Peeters and the Ukrainian Eurovision winner Ruslana will have an advisory role in this occasion and no active part in the decision.

The Grand Final will be aired live from the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium, and it will be host by Peter Van de Veire and Eva Daeleman.

Belgium made its debut in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. The country counts one victory in 1986 with Sandra Kim’s J’aime la vie.
