France: Joanna releases English version of Ma liberté

Joanna, who’s bidding to represent France at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, has released an English version of her entry Ma liberté.

Following the French presentation show back in January, the 3 bidding French artists, Destan, Joanna and Twin Twin, have been receiving increased exposure on both France 3 and France Bleu including interviews.

Yesterday, Joanna uploaded a live English version of her bidding entry Ma liberté. The English version named Reinvented, which was uploaded onto Joanna’s official YouTube page, has been reworked into a new interpretation. Below you can compare the 2 versions together.

Earlier this year, Joanna also released a cover of the 2012 Eurovision winning entry Euphoria, originally performed by Loreen.

The 23 February is the final day that the French public will be able to vote for their favourite bidding entry. The public votes will then be combined with the with the votes of the jury and the winner will then be announced via the television show Les chansons d’abord on the 2 March.

Last year, Amandine Bourgeois was internally selected to represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö with her song L’enfer et moi. Automatically qualifying to the grand final, Amandine ended in 23rd place at the contest with a total of 14 points.
