Austria: Conchita films her Eurovision 2014 presentation postcard

Conchita Wurst, the 2014 Austrian Eurovision representative has filmed the official Eurovision 2014 presentation postcard for Austria. DR, the national Danish broadcaster has sent a team to Vienna in order to film Conchita’s video. In 2014 the official presentation postcards preceeding each artist will feature the candidate in his/her respective country.
We bring you the latest photographs from Conchita’s video shoot in collaboration with ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster. The first part of the presentation video was filmed in Vienna yesterday. Because this year, the Danish host broadcaster DR, the national Danish broadcaster will be showcasing the comepeting artists int their home countries in the official presentation postcards which will preceed each performance in Copenhangen. The very first postcard was filmed yesterday, 4 February 2014,  featuring the 2014 Austrian Eurovision representative Conchita Wurst in Vienna. DR’s Eurovision 2014 director for postcards  Mette Hesthaven and producer  Stevan Treshow flew to the Austrian capital of the occasion.

 

The Imperial frame of the Schönbrunn Palace Theatre was chosen as the setting. Stylist Tamara Mascara worked with Conchita and the team with more than 70 dresses and gowns on the set.
We had a great atmosphere on the set and the Danish team has catered  and given it an international flair. Adding to the great theme and the setting the clothes were awesome and fit in perfectly. Tamara and I had a lot of fun during the shooting- Conchita added.
Conchita is great.  She made headlines in the Danish media when it was announced that she would represented Austria at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. I like her as a figure who stands for tolerance. After having worked  together I can say that she is a real performer and it’s been great fun to shooting with her. I hope we have the same fun with the remaining 36 counntries.- DR team
Austria will compete in the 2nd Eurovision Song Contest semi-final when Conchita will take the stage on 8 May at the B&W Hallerne in Copenhagen. ORF 1 will be airing all 3 – 2014Eurovision Song Contest shows on 6,8 and 10 May.
