Tonight, the Belgian broadcaster Eén / VRT will start broadcasting their national final to select a participant and song for the Eurovision Song Contest in May. Tonight, the first castings, that already took place in December, will be aired. Fifteen artists will perform a song from the history of Eurovision and the experts will decide who will make it to the semi-finals of the show.
The Show
The pre-recorded broadcasting will show fifteen performances by the participants. They will all sing a Eurovision song and try to convince the experts, Bart Peeters, Piet Goddaer and Jef Martens. These experts decide which artists will perform again in the semi-finals. The acts who will not make it through, will have another chance in two weeks when the Callback takes place. The shows are hosted by Peter van de Veire en Eva Daeleman.
