Emmelie De Forest, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest this year in Malmö, ranked second on the music website Last.fm 2013 New Discoveries list, only behind British sensation Lorde.
According to the website, the current holder of the Eurovision trophy had 52,241 listeners this year and 612,809 scrobbles (songs played) since January. British super star Lorde had 315,627 listeners and 8,046,121 scrobbles. Swedish singer Kim Cesarion completed the top three with 33,879 listeners, 225,051 scrobbles.
Several other eurostars such as Adelén, Krista Siegfrids and Anton Ewald made it into the top 20 finishing 6th, 14th and 17th respectively. Other acts featured on the list are: Dina Garipova (38), Gianluca Bezzina (39), Farid Mammadov (48), Aliona Moon (54), Natália Kelly (56), Klapa s mora (84), Ravaillacz (88), Esma & Lozano (89) and Takasa (96).
Emmelie De Forest won the 58th Eurovision Song Contest last May in Malmö giving Denmark their third victory.
