Former Eurovision contestants Sergio Dalma and Lucia Perez have recently joined forces to sing together in Luar, a popular TV program aired by Galician Television.

Despite the numerous duets that each artist has done with various Eurovision stars, this is the first time they have sung together performing Yo no te pido la luna, a classic Italian hit made famous in Spain by Sergio Dalma in the 90s.

Sergio Dalma represented Spain in 1991 with Bailar Pegados in Rome. His outstanding performance obtained a 4th position with a score of 119 points in one of the closest contests ever. Sergio’s score is the best that Spain has received in the past 40 years, only matched by Anabel Conde and Vuelve Conmigo in 1995, which obtained 2nd place.

20 years after Sergio Dalma, Lucia Perez was chosen by the Spanish public and a panel of experts to wave the Spanish flag in Dusseldorf in 2011 with Que me quiten lo bailao, which after some polemic and mixed expectations, only managed to reach 23rd place with 50 points.

Both artists have enjoyed a healthy music career in Spain, Italy and South America and regularly make TV appearances.
