Canada’s inaugural journey to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2027 is taking a significant step forward. The national broadcaster, CBC/Radio-Canada, is poised to reveal the finalists who will be vying for the coveted chance to represent the nation. This highly anticipated announcement is set for later this month, building excitement among Canadian Eurovision fans.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and Radio-Canada have officially confirmed that they will announce the shortlisted artists for their Eurovision 2027 national selection on Tuesday, 27th October. This marks a crucial moment in Canada’s debut participation in the iconic song contest.

This announcement follows the opening of artist submissions from 31st August to 9th September 2026. CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a performer with a strong connection to Canada and a proven track record of captivating large live audiences. The selection process involves a multi-stage approach, where a music industry jury and a public digital vote will ultimately determine Canada’s representative for Eurovision 2027.

Once the artist is selected, they will collaborate with industry professionals to develop Canada’s entry song and stage performance for the contest, which is set to take place in Burgas, Bulgaria.

Canada is set to debut at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2027 next May when the competition travels to Burgas, Bulgaria.
