The semi-final running orders for the Melodifestivalen 2014, Sweden’s national selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest, have been announced by SVT, the Swedish broadcaster.
Runner-up in 2013, YOHIO, will open proceedings in the first semi-final with the winner of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, Helena Paparizou, closing the show.
Melodiefestivalen’s executive producer Christer Björkman says that the running order will maximize the drama in the competition as well as bringing the party atmosphere.

The top two songs from each semi-final will go straight to the final on March 8, and the songs finishing in third and fourth place in the semi-finals will take part in a second chance round on March 1.
