A grand Sanremo concert will be held tomorrow at the 2012 Eurovision venue- the Baku Crystal Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan. A great line up of former Italian Eurovision and Sanremo artists will be gracing the stage and treating the Azerbaijani audience with the best of their music and repertoire.
The internationally acclaimed Italian actress Ornella Mutti will be hosting the event in the majestic Azeri capital. Italian music and artists have enjoyed great fame, name and popularity in Azerbaijan and its neighbouring countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Latvia etc. The Sanremo Song Festival enjoys both prestige and popularity not only at home in Italy but overseas.
Toto Cotugno (Italy 1990- Eurovision winner), Al Bano ( Italy 1976, 1985), Ricardo Foggli (Italy 1983), Umberto Tozzi ( Italy 1987), Matia Bazaar (Italy 1979), Ricchi e Poveri (Italy 1978) will all be performing at the concert in Baku.They will be joined by former San Remo participants: Pupo, Tony Esposito, Fiordaliso and Ivana Spagna.
The concert will be held at the former Eurovision venue at 19:00 hrs Baku time. Audience attending the event will witness a celebration of Italian music from the 70’s and 80’s bringing back the true nostalgia of that era.
