Roger Cicero is one of the three participants in this year's German national final and the first who revealed his song title: Frauen regieren die Welt (Women rule the world). Since most of his songs are about relationships between men and women, this choice might be no surprise. The entry is composed Frank Ramond and Matthias Hass.

The single Frauen regieren die Welt will be published on 2nd March. On 5th March, Roger Cicero will be a guest in Reinhold Beckmann's (who hosted the 2005 German final) weekly talkshow.

Monrose, who are also taking part, will probably choose a song from their first album that was published some weeks ago and is currently on first spot of the album charts.

As announced by esctoday.com on 7th December, Germany will once again host Grand Prix Vorentscheid, a national final for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 in the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. Following the same format as last year, three acts will compete for the right to represent Germany in Helsinki. So far, Monrose and Roger Cicero are confirmed, and a third act will be announced shortly. The show will be broadcast live on Thursday 8th March and will be hosted by Thomas Hermanns. Eurovision Song Contest winners Johnny Logan and Bucks Fizz will be performing as special guests along with Alice and Ellen Kessler. The host of the show has been confirmed as Thomas Hermanns, who hosted the selection in 2006.
