LTV, the Latvian national broadcaster has announced today the 24 entries that will compete in the 2014 Latvian Eurovision national selection. The titles of the competing entries along with the names of their respective authors, composers and lyricists have been revealed. The names of the acts will be revealed later.

Composers have until 7 January to select the singers for their entries. You can listen to the competing songs on LTV’s official Eurovision website.

The 2014 Latvian national selection Dziesma 2014 will consist of 3 shows: 2 semifinals on 1 and 2 February, and the grand final on 22 February . The semifinals will be held in Riga whilst the grand final will be held in Ventspils.

Latvia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 and has won the event in 2002 with Marie N‘s I wanna. Latvia has competed in every single contest since its debut in 2000. 2014 will be the country’s 15th Eurovision entry.
