Germany again would go on to capture the essence of the 70’s with their 1977 entry Telegram. The group Silver Convention had made a name for themselves around Europe with a few minor hits. The song itself would hint at the first rumblings of disco fever at the contest and managed a respectable 8th place despite the gravity defying Farrah Fawcett flicks.
Alex lives and works in the United Kingdom and has been an avid fan of the Eurovision Song Contest since Carola's victory in 1991 for Sweden. He is studying English Literature and wants to focus on becoming an established writer. He joins the esctoday.com team as an Editor.
