This would be the year Sofi Marinova would fly the flag for Bulgaria after being choosen by the public to represent Bulgaria in Baku 2012 with the song Love unlimited which she sang in a total of 12 different languages as was written by Yasen Kozev, Krum Georgiev and Doni Vasileva. In Baku, Bulgaria just missed out on a spot in the final as they tied for 10^th place with Norway but the tie break rule decided Norway would take the 10^th and last final spot keeping Bulgaria out of the final.
